This Christmas elf was "guarding" the landing going to the 3rd floor of the shop we love to stop at on our way to Highland County. (the one with the best popcorn ever). It was about 3 1/2 feet to 4 feet tall and I think it's the stuff that gives Kids nightmares so it's kind of funny that Anita walked right by it and never noticed it! LOL Taken on last Sundays adventures. (haven't even had a chance to look at yesterdays photos yet!)

Mural in London. Not exactly sure where I was though. When I took the pic, it was in low light and came out pretty yellow. I couldn't get it fixed. The background of the mural is red and I really wanted to be able to bring out the red but it didn't work. So, I turned it into black and white. London, UK.

Candid street photography from Glasgow, Scotland. With the craze of scary clowns being reported in the media and condemned by police and sensible people the world over, I was surprised to find one standing on Buchanan Street. I was even more surprised to find Leo 'The Glasgow Raver' trying to intimidate the scary clown by dancing circles around him! Enjoy.
Storms have been a daily occurrence the last few days. This storm moved in from the south around 3:30pm on Friday. While it looks really bad, it didn't produce anything severe at my location. Three exposure HDR processed with Photomatix
Mugger Crocodile
Yala National Park, Sri Lanka.
Handheld from a distance using a Sigma 150-500mm lens in the afternoon. Not Cropped at all.
Thanks to my good friend Pro Photographer, Clifford Murray who accompanied me to Yala just before it closed down for maintenance work.
FACTS
The mugger crocodile is found throughout the Indian subcontinent and the surrounding countries, including India, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. Two subspecies are endangered: the Iranian Crocodile - C. p. palustris and the Ceylon Mugger Crocodile or Sri Lanka Swamp Crocodile - C. p. kimbula. Mugger crocodiles are medium to large crocodiles depending on the subspecies and range in size from 5.9 to 13 feet. Females have been known to grow at a faster rate than males. Both endangered subspecies are greenish-olive in color with darker markings and can reach a body length of 13 feet.

I've never said you'll have to
be afraid
of the cookie monster
beside your bed
It's not the real
The real one's in your head
Beyond control
The true one cuts you dead
It's a war
Digging into the archives to see what I missed. I like this one, don't know why I didn't post it sooner.
My daughter gave me a BIG Challenge in her painting lesson - to draw a "Funny Looking Scary Girl" I thought to do my task by abstract art, in a simple way.
I realised this was not what she wanted but finally she said this is better than what she wanted.
It looked scary, but nothing happened. In fact, we're having a lovely sunset as I'm writing this :-)

Oh my goodness ...... what a "horrible" challenge for today - a self portrait!!! Well, at first I thought about opting out then I thought no can't do that. So set up my tripod and then thought a slight "film noir" might help those of a younger age group not to get so much of a fright - so here goes!! Screeeaam!
Seriously, I have had a real good run on Explore over the past few days (thanks to everyone) so thought I would bring that to an end by uploading this frightener!!
Our Daily Challenge - SELF PORTRAIT ......
Well, I find this so hard to believe - can't believe it - thanks for all your views and favourites which helped me hit Explore!

For Slider Sunday. This is a macro photo of the holes in about seventy 45 rpm vinyl records with 500 lumens of LED light blasting into the opposite end. The clown was cut from a photo of a fun house taken at an amusement park using the PS Select and Mask tool, adding a little softness around the edges. I used Smart Objects to combine the two, reduce the opacity of the clown face to 22%, and distort the clown face so that it appears with the correct proportions at the far end of the "tunnel".
